Dianne grew up in Islip, NY on the south shore of Long Island. She attended Islip high school and then did one semester at SUNY Oswego before moving on to the Veterinary Technician program at SUNY Farmingdale where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Animal Health Technology in 1987. After graduation, Dianne considers herself fortunate for having been hired as the first employee at a new animal hospital in her home town where she worked for the past 33 years. When her youngest child graduated high school, Dianne and her husband, August decided it was time to leave Long Island and move to the country with their felines, goats and chickens, ending up in New Berlin on what she says is her dream property. Dianne and August have hopes of starting their own business growing and selling organic vegetables, with special interest in greens and vegetable plant starts, which is how she currently spends her time when not in the clinic.
